Who is Trick?
Clone trooper CT-3301, Hawks’ old comrade, Soldier-type authored Operator. Unique talent For My Brothers is a Downed revive chain.
Searching star wars zero company operators or authored operators? STAR WARS Zero Company splits the roster into authored story Operators and custom mercenaries you recruit at The Den. The official Operators Hub lists seven authored names. Roster grows 7 → 20. You still deploy four per tactical mission. Verified August 28, 2026. Steam.
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Authored | 7 (Operators Hub) |
| Roster size | 7 → 20 Operators |
| Deploy | Up to 4 Operators per mission |
| Hawks | Customizable protagonist · permadeath immune · story-required |
| Exotic locks | Tel-Rea = Jedi Padawan · Cly = Mandalorian Warrior |
| Custom | Appearance, species, spec, talent, loadout |

Hawks is the Zero Company leader and a former Republic officer. Official Q&A confirms high customization. Story missions typically require Hawks on the squad of up to 4 operators per mission.
| Customize | Locked |
|---|---|
| Gender, species, appearance, outfit, name | Story role as Zero Company lead |
| Standard specialization (any of the eight) | Fearless Leader talent |
| Weapons, mods, utilities | Permadeath immunity — Hawks cannot be lost to the 3-Injury stack |
| Voice / presentation options shown in create | Required slot on story missions |
Hawks can still hit 0 HP and need a Rally. Immunity means the Injury stack does not delete the protagonist. Everyone else can be gone for the run. Do not use that as an excuse to stand Hawks in the open — a Downed leader still costs the round. Toggle and stacks: permadeath.
Assault or Soldier is the beginner recommendation. Respec at The Den whenever the maps stop matching. Species is cosmetic — there is no hidden “Zabrak deals more damage” stat. Spec list: classes.
The three Operators who most change how you spend Advantage are Trick, Tel-Rea, and Cly.
Matched by build plan, shared topics, and guide progression — not random related links.
These three are the authored Operators whose kits fight the “just another Standard spec” instinct. Trick is a Standard body with an absurd revive talent. Tel-Rea and Cly are Exotic locks.

| Operator | Bring them to… | Do not bring them to… |
|---|---|---|
| Overwatch alleys, retaliation maps, any spec that stands in the blast | A roof Sharpshooter who never gets shot — the talent never fires | |
| Maps where deflection and saber shoves beat a fourth blaster | A squad that already spends the whole Advantage bar on rockets | |
| Objectives, ledges, vertical maps, “get there without eating Overwatch” | A roster that cannot spare Advantage for Combat Jump |
Clone trooper CT-3301, voiced as a clone, starts Soldier. Rank 1 of For My Brothers: once per mission, if Trick is Downed he revives next turn at half health. Later ranks restore more, skip the first Injury, and can pop him back up during your turn with AP. That talent wants a spec that gets shot: Assault, Gunslinger, Scout, even Medic — not a Longarm tourist. Heavy works if you like it; on normal difficulty Heavy can be so armored the talent rarely triggers.
Tognath Padawan. Everything — abilities, passives, equipment, talent — is the Jedi kit. Force meditations replace grenades/stims (slots expand with progress). Harmony stacks feed deflection and saber damage; Padawan Training already starts deflection high. Lightsaber Strike scales with Harmony. Force Push is the cover-breaker that feeds Kabb or Overwatch. If she dies with permadeath on, Jedi Padawan is gone for that run.
Mandalorian Warrior from Clan Verminoth (community: Clan Verminoth / revenge or bounty framing — story details vary). Armor gives flat damage reduction from the start. Jetpack makes height free. Combat Jump (community captures: ~2 Advantage, 0 AP) leaps, shoves, and may skip Overwatch or retaliation — confirm costs. Electro tools in captures also spend Advantage. Crit chance from mods, talents, or a later Secondary spec multiplies her kit.
Luco, Kabb, and Jae are Standard-spec authored — talents first, default class second.
All three can change Standard specialization at The Den. Bring them for the talent, then pick a spec that makes that talent fire.

| Operator | Talent (short, community) | Default spec (community) | Build note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uppercut: melee knockback; kill may refund AP (verify) | Scoundrel | Assault or Soldier melee trees multiply it. If you never Uppercut, leave him home. | |
| Final Shot: execute below a HP threshold after ally attack (verify) | Assault | Wants a squad that chips, not one Operator who greed-kills every last HP | |
| Combat Gas: Advantage, 0 AP, hit/damage stacks (verify) | Sharpshooter | Works on almost any shooter. Late join. Umbaran / Trick ideology clashes still allow Bonds. |
Felshi (original species) prize fighter who lost an arm and replaced it. Official footage pairs Uppercut with Tel-Rea’s Force Push: out of cover, into Overwatch. Rank mostly buys damage so you can spend Focus elsewhere. Do not park him as a Longarm tourist.
Ore-Baroness of Luunata, House Mordant of Shu-Torun. She pushes the Republic to hire Hawks against the Infinite Coil. Final Shot needs other Operators to leave targets in the execute window (community captures: start at ~4 HP, scaling toward ~10 — unverified). If she is Downed, the talent is off. Chip damage + Jae is a plan; four greedy damage dealers is not.
These names run The Den. They are not four-operator deploy slots. Talk to them; do not try to kit them as Assault.
| Name | Role at The Den | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Operations and Finance | Togruta · former Separatist | |
| Bennic Halloren | Republic Intelligence | The officer who brings Zero Company the job |
| Neesh Renark | Armory and Black Market | Weapons, mods, the stall you should check every Cycle |
| Pilot and Medbay | Utility droid · The Caisson · Injuries live here |
Missions and Operations are Holotable. Bonds, recruitment flavor, and facility talk happen on the floor of The Den. Mixing them up is how players skip Medbay. Facility loop: the den.
Kundri Fathom (Infinite Coil), Visser, and super tactical droid Typhon belong on the other side of the map. Faction page: enemies.
The last roster tool is the one the authored seven cannot cover: a custom hire.
Custom mercenaries are recruited at The Den. They banter, hold likes and dislikes, and build Bonds. They are not second-class squad members. Roster scales from 7 to 20 via Den upgrades (Crew Quarters and related facilities).
| You pick | You do not get |
|---|---|
| Appearance, clothing, voice, name, species | An authored unique talent (Uppercut, Final Shot, …) |
| Standard specialization, freely respecced | Jedi Padawan or Mandalorian Warrior |
| Talent from the custom pool (10 options shown in captures) | Hawks’ Fearless Leader |
| Loadout and weapon class | Story immunity — they can permadeath |
If Trick, Kabb, and Jae are all damage, recruit a custom Medic or Scout. If you want an Astromech, build it after the Den droid / Astromech path unlocks (community captures name a Repair Bay — facility label unverified). That is the Exotic droid path, not a random hire with a wrench cosmetic.
Playable species reported for creates include Human, Togruta, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Mirialan, Devaronian, Weequay, Rodian, Ovissian, Neimoidian, plus authored-only identities (Tognath, Umbaran, Felshi, clone). No hidden racial damage stat. Pick the look.
You still deploy four. Extra roster is for Injuries, Bonds experiments, and matching a mission’s faction. Do not recruit to 20 before you can keep four alive. Starter comps: builds.

Yes. Hawks can still go Downed and need Rally. The three-Injury permadeath stack does not delete Hawks. Everyone else can die for the run.
Yes on Standard specs and talents you choose. They cannot copy Exotic kits or authored unique talents. Use them to fill roles.
